As simple and as streamlined as this site was made to be, it does something pretty complicated. The sale of PDFs including encryption and tagging of the files upon the sale.
The concept of the design of the site is to lead people into three or four simple pathways to a purchase. Making sure this worked on a mobile platform was almost more important than a desktop.
